Beth G. :

Thank you!! I really like them too. Maybe if the same breeder has some extras at the fall show I'll get a couple more

Yes I think thw white are like 9-10 old I want to say I got them the last week of may? Gosh I have so many chickens right now I can't keep track anymore. I have broodies that keep hatching chicks out daily!! I stopped counting chicks in May and I was at 91 orps and 54 other breeds

Jimmy I swear his buffs are on roids!! That buff rooster is born in March and he's catching up to Brutus the Blk Roo born in Feb from Renie!! But, godzilla (the buff roo) is much more docile and calm its impressive! If you and Debbie can get your hands on one of his roosters I think you'll be happy!!

I hatched out some chicks for my neighbor back in April or something and then a few wks ago a dog got into his pen and killed all but 3. If he is game, I'm going to give him about 20-40 chickens for replacements...you know what that means for me???

I have more room for different breeds!

Gosh a lot of chickies dying to dogs lately. I'm thinking owners need to go to proper care for dogs school to keep their poor pets from attacking our chickens.

Maybe you will get some of those Orps your longing for

Sad! We have an old dog and he barely looks at the chickens, we consider ourselves lucky.
I didn't trust him at first but then realized he must've made peace with them while they were in the brooder in our sunroom, because he really seems like he doesn't have a care in the world concerning them.

Yes its happening everywhere. My service dog helps me herd the flock into their coops every night but I always have eyes in the back of my head watching him bc that prey drive is hard to knock. Its really not the dogs fault only the neglectful dog owners

Yes the hail was bad here tonight which means my phone at the office will be ringing off the hook with hail damage to roof shingles, greenhouses, crops, and vehicles damaged.

I do not know about the sales at the 4-H fair but the Boston Poultry Show in November has a huge sale area

That storm was interesting! We luv thunder & lightning and the hail was a bonus.. but the run-off made some mess in our yard.

Ooh alot of chatter about the north show, now I want to go to that too!
I didn't know there are birds for sale at the 4-H in Durham AND the MA show =feels like chicken math symptoms=

I have a 7 y/o Shih-Zue named Gypsy, never harmed a fly...until recently. She killed about 10 of my SQ juveniles that were roaming the front yard, didn't eat them just killed them for the fun of it. She now has to be constantly watched. Never would have thought my sweet cuddly grandma dog would have killed chickens, gosh was I wrong!
