Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

I love that guy's color! I sure hope you can get a line of really good quality orps with that color going! What I know about genetics would fill a thimble, so maybe it's not to be, I don't know.

galanie: I hope to take him to a rather decent Brown Red pullet I have. I only use the best when breeding. I was told by a top notch judge the pullet is nicer. But this fella is a number of months behind. Once I get this variety off the ground I will share. I shared with my Bruno who is a very nice Birchen featherless shank Marans.

I think I will be showing this 16 month ole hen. She is one of many from BUS and my bottom line quality hen I hatched from my original Blacks that I started out with. I have her in with BOSS HOGG and the 2 BAMMA Black hens. Those Bamma girls are in molt and look terrible. But this one is a few months younger and IF all goes well I will show her in 12 days.

I wish she had a darker eye but she has a nice size head. The judges just love these Buffs when they have a big head. She needs a bath which I will give her this weekend when we get some warmer weather.

Nice birdies! That top guy looks like wow he's wide. But the second one, Oh my, it is almost the spitting image of my hen Sugar. Shes the queen of the world and she knows it. Here she is hanging out by the lily pond with her "brother" George:
