Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

The brown one is Auggie. He is a baby that popped outta a jet Black Pit Bull Newfie mix I took in 2 years ago. He is a one and a half year ole. I call the Yellow Lab looking boy Mustafa Hamsho (10 month old), AKA "MOOSE" Believe it or not, he responds to "hamsho" as well as Moose. And you nailed it Julie. The original name for the Labrador Retriever was called "Lesser NewFoundland Dog". And these fellas are right dead close to the look, but are not purebred dogs. just mutants that think their tuff. lolololol

I start mine out for a day in the ole dirty nasty foam bator that my birds affectionately call home sweet home till I yank them out and put them into a cheap ole plastic tub for a couple of weeks. The tub I conveniently melted a hole thru the side just perfect for the lite to rest. THEN after two weeks they head to the TSC big black tub. They stay there till the cages get cleared out, then we move them to the cages till about 3 months old. And we then go outside fo good or till I have more sub zero days and I freak out and bring in every cockerel/cock into the house. That is when the real fun starts. 15 or so cocks going off in the house. just like living next to the elavator train, it happens so often you don't even notice.
Here are some of the Doc babies I have in the black hole (tub)
Not counting the Blue Splash Ameraucanas and the one lonely JewBilly project bird I accidently hatched out stickin her head in the side. And I am supposedly part Jewish and my name is Billy.

LOL it just hurts me looking at all those pics everyone else posts w/all that GREEN stuff for their birds to enjoy!

I haven't moved Brewsters daughter's out w/him and their mama's yet, I already lost half of those when the heater/electricity to the young one's coop went off one night while I was at work. Brewster's SO good with his offspring, he's such an awesome roo in all ways possible. When it was too cold for too long, I brought him in the house because I'm not taking a chance on him becoming infertile or frostbit. His hens weathered winter very nicely, no problems at all w/them:) I only kept four of his hens and one of those is staying in the pullet/cockerel coop, she's not one of the mama hens but is doing a great job for an auntie!
