Come to think of it, I don't know many LF breeds that are fluffy that lay alot of eggs compared to their lesser fluff LF birds. My Buff Cochins has ALL my Orps beat in Fluff, and I guess someone needs to tell them to lay more. Maybe it is a Large fowl thing?

I wouldn't blink an eye at any odd feathers till their at least 7 months old. A friend I know has a Blue that had some Red feathers poppin out of it's eyebrows. She was ready to whack him. But, since this bird is from a super quality bloodline, she held off, and the bird molted out ALL the Red feathers and now looks fantastic.

Here's a pic of my lovely buff orpington Dixie. And another of Dixie drying off post-bath in my boyfriend's arms. Both two of the truest loves of my life!

Fluffy does not equal a poor egg layer. Most of your fluffy breeds were bred with the emphasis on looks versus production, they were the cherished hobby. The fluffier birds are also a dual purpose bird, meat AND eggs, and for a longer duration.

Bring on the fluff!

Hey Tonya I have been wanting to thank you. I purchased some eggs from you. They are all developing! Nice packing job.
