Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

This past year for the first time they didnt band any of the tested birds. He may not have had any of the Turkey bands with him. They have always told me to take the off if I thought they were to tight
Our state vet is now using wing bands. I love those ! No more worrying about bands getting too tight. Those numbers are darned small though.

I had to remove some of them last yr.. sure did... I told that guy the bands were too dang small... he wouldn't listen... also he insisted on banding birds that were too young.. Needless to say... I wasn't impressed :(

They told me in the office...that the grant money runs out this month.. and if they didn't get to me today that I would be out of luck.... Not sure if a grant will come in for next yr or not. So there we were... outside.. in a foot of snow...testing chickens... from 10am until round 2:30 or so. WE can't get pizza delivery here in the woods and well.. I just didn't want to go out in snow to .. Soo stayed home... made grits, scrabble eggs with mushrooms, and homemade biscuits.. Life is never dull here for sure.

You are a go getter Renie ..No word from NYS yet, called and left a message to call me..NY is kind of paranoid of people getting sick from animal disease, when the egg recall was going on the state supplied eggs to so many places...you didnt have to sweat bullets to eat an egg mcmuffin ..they were actually adding things last year and staff..but it can all change in a snap..It wouldnt stop anybody here thou..they would find the money..safe than sorry..
