Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Here is a photo I took yesterday of one of my blue pullets. I just love this girl.

She's beautiful!

What is the average weight for an approx 9 month old pullet? My BOs are the American type. My girls free range on 2 acres all day. They forage nearly all day and then they head in to the coop around supper time and then top themselves off at the feeder. (food is there all day) They are pretty active. This Summer they loved hanging out under the pear trees and gobbling up pears.

I have 24 week and 36 week old pullets that I need to weigh properly and a 26 week old cockerel. I would like to see if I am on track with weights. Thank you so much for your time!

My 75% English Orpingtons. I have one hen and 3 roos, (I gave one roo away but have access to him for breeding). I really loved the darkest one in here but he developed some pretty severe wry neck and skeletal deformities and now he is just a pet and will not be use for breeding. I actually don't think he would be able to mount a hen considering he walks with a paddle motion and runs sideways. I call him Goblin because of how he walks and runs. I have to put him on the roost at night as he can't get up there by himself. Except for Goblin they look a little scruffy as they are molting right now.

Goblin and hen

From looking at other pics of English orp in blue or black, shouldn't his face be more red instead of the grayish/black tint to it?

Soup can for some idea of their size already.

This is Goblin, the one with skeletal deformities. Such a friendly sweet little guy! Note how the one leg is out to the side, he is severely cow hocked and has some twisting to his spine. The wry neck and skeletal problems did not appear until he was just over 2 months old and he was the only one who had this problem.

Hen and back of rooster

She's not supposed to be in here, she is from a hatchery stock Buff Orpington hen and a 7/8 Blue English Orpington Rooster. I am keeping her for eggs. Love her colors though!

Hello All,

I am fairly new to raising chickens. Here is one my rooster "Big Bird" . He is a pure BO. I have had him since November 21st. The guy that I got him from said that he is pretty big. There were four of them total all brothers and he said he is by far the biggest of them all. I would like some of you all's input. He is around 7 or 8 months old. Here are a few pictures. I would really appreciate any input.
