Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Just new to this forum, but loving all the pics, I have blacks, white, blues and buffs and have now seen a lot more I want!! Just not sure whether the likes of chocolates and laced varietys are in New Zealand.
I have had this fella named Blake for a little over 24hrs, and he is such a cool bird, was told he was black but at daylight I realised he was not at all black but a very dark blue.

I just got my first orp. , mottled orp. SHE aprx. 7 weeks...can anyone identify gender , supposed to be female but not sure .

I agree, going by the wattle's size and color, the upright stance, and even the very thick legs in the one picture, I'm guessing male. Especially since Orpingtons can be slower to mature than most breeds and it already has signs that pronounced.

But that said I had a Barred Rock that had a big comb and wattles from day 1 and I was convinced she might be a male especially as they grew but she turned out to be female so I would just wait it out and see, it's still too young to be 100% sure. But I think in your case it's likely a male.
