Looks like a rooster to me! My Orpington cockerels seem to start crowing pretty late, like around 5 months or so.

wow!!! So beautiful!I also have a double barred chocolate cuckoo orp. God blessed him with beauty - but not much else. We named him "Brick." At first it was because he's "as dumb as a brick." Later we realized that he's kind of stocky & has a brick-like build. I really don't need a rooster, but because of his beauty, we're keeping this cockerel for now. Can't wait to see how he fills out as he matures. He just turned 5 months old. Yours will likely look like him, but hopefully have a little more intelligence. Thankfully, the other chickens here are intelligent, so Brick can simply follow their lead![]()
