The wise ole timer I talked to a few weeks ago, said sorta on this topic. The birds that grow up fast are great for summer fairs, but the best he ever had, took two years to fully come into their own. He says those are the ones you want to use in your breeding program.
The look of this fella doesn't bother me. I know he has alot more growing to do. And with my birds, different parts grow faster then others. So a tall gangly bird can turn out to be the best after the rest of him catches up and they put meat on them bones.
