Nice looking blues, but doesn't she have her own thread going to discuss import birds?

Everyone is showing such pretty Orpingtons.
I want to yuck things up with some molting Cocks.
Some are just starting, some are well into their molt. NO eggs from any.
I think you can tell more from a pic when they molt cause there is no feathers to hide the faults.
Here is the yuck pics
My ever elusive KORgo
I rate him number in my original Black line

Feran, he isn't lookin too bad. Prolly my best Black Orp

Flozelle is, I believe half from my original Milkey hen. That is why I put him back in with her.
He is just different

Flo's mom is big and he dwarfs her. She is supposedly from a 14 lbs black Orpington cock. just recently weighed too by Russ Milkey

They are looking just awesome Jeremy. I can't believe how many pullets you got. I wish I could get that same rooster:pullet ratio.

Bill, some of my birds are in the midst of a hard molt too, and they look just horrid. I love the picture of your 8 month old pullet you got from Julie...gorgeous.

Cheryl - Your two girls are looking great !!

Ms. Bird-Brain - I love the coloring of your splash roo ! Stunning !!

Yes, I posted some different pictures over on the English Orp thread, too. There's also a link to my photo album and a video of these precious little ones! These are the only Orpingtons I have, I just wanted to share the pictures with everyone who owns this fantastic breed. I think they're beautiful.

Joy, I've had some weird luck with hatching pullets this year, either I hatch (or receive) mostly pullets like in this case with the Orpingtons, or it's the opposite end of the spectrum where I only hatch cockerels!

I need to find happy medium.

Bill, that picture of the GIANT rooster making his hen look so small is priceless, gotta love those big round boys.

Joy, I have two Black pullets from Julie. Their the bomb. I am thinking at least three different cocks/cockerels ahead with them. Being ultra "Low Riders", they will make some neat babies with my "High Waters". And then I have two nice males from Julie to take to these two Black pullets. Should be a fun year ahead.

Jeremy - I'm going to send you my eggs and you can hatch them for me !! See if you can get me some pullets. Those last 6 chicks I hatched from The Churchills were all cockerels !! My ratio for Winston & CLementine chicks is 9:2 - 9 cockerels and 2 pullets !! Anyway, I think your chicks are just gorgeous.

Bill - Yes, the birds you have from Julie will really help you in your breeding program. She has just wonderful birds. I just got 3 big fat pullets from her a couple of weeks ago...here is a picture of them - The P's - Portia, Petra, and Prudence. Petra is the splash, Prudence is the darker blue, and Portia is the lighter blue. They are around 6-7 months old in these pictures. I'm really anxious to breed them with my one of my English roosters and see what I get. Now if I just had more room !!

I've already bred a couple of hens I got from Julie to my Winston. Here is my favorite pullet from that mating - Bluebell. She is about 3.5 months old.
