I'm no expert but, are those legs yellow or white? I've heard that hatchery birds aren't always true to breed but, I guess they could be? I'm sorry for not being 100% sure. Maybe Someone else with more Buff experience will chime in. I think Buffs are supposed to have pale/whitish colored legs. I can't really tell in the pic b/c their legs look blurry

Theyre backs are a little too long, the tail angle will probably get higher as they get older. Theyre still young to see their full potential.

The tail angle is the only thing I see that may be in question. They have a nice even color. Rich Buff color is more desired, but more important is an even color, which they have.
Here is an example of a very nice Buff I bought at a show which illustrates the proper tail angle and length and color. This is a Doug Buff Orp cock. He is the best in the Midwest. So this is a good example to compare too. All he may need is a fuller front breast which is in his genetics. But the color and nice tail is very hard to come by. And I see no problem with yours.

What do you look for in telling the pullets from the cockerels? I thought I read somewhere about feather shape- rounded feather tips? Can you go by the comb? Any tips appreciated! Is there a certain age that its impossible to tell the difference, certain age that it's obvious? If you don't have several birds in front of you to compare to what would you look for? Say if you just had 1 young bird in front of you what key traits would you look for to make a determination?
