Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Beth G. :

Wow some really nice babies posted since I was last on here!

I had to tell you all how shocked I was when going to the NEBC show today in Middleboro, MA. There were NO Orpingtons in the show!!!!!!!!!!

I personally would have shown except I couldn't bring them due to hitching a ride with someone and it would have been way to much to wash and prep them in time. But, WOW I couldn't believe the lack of Orp's. That should be a sin I tell ya

Thats too bad, some shows you go to and there are quite a few. others almost none, maybe one or 2..lots of people getting out of it..when the price of gas went up the cost of feed went up and a lot of people droppin out...I have freinds who had every breed known to mankind and showed all over US, now they are breaking the whole thing down to 3 breeds..we have only ever kept 3 breeds..there were quite a few orps at twin tiers show..but somone said another show they went to up north had only 3...too bad we didnt live closer..I would have said ROAD TRIP...Pickin you up..to the show we go.

Nice youngsters, where did you get your birds?

I was one of the lucky couple of people who managed to get hatching eggs from Korfus. They are absolute monsters already...size, I mean. Personality wise they are little balls of love. I couldn't be happier with them!

I got birds! And was lucky enough to get one hen from Russ Milkey's line to use with them. Now, my main cock is a cross of both lines. He is in mid molt. He and the original girls are all nice size. Now I have some Dun pullets to use with my BUSTOFF from that line. And am very interested IF I can make some solid Dun Orps.
These are two Dun I got at Crossroads.. Their near 7 month oles. I can use them in a Dun program and cause my BUSTOFF is Silver too, I may get some solid White Silvers from this breeding

The one pullet in the front is BUS's grand daughter.

this is a black orp that started to molt but the new feathers coming in are white
