Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

My Buff cock is doing his job. And I am very pleased to see alot of his better traits being passed on down to many of his chicks.
Nice big heads and near perfect tails that are not too loosely feathered. And to become some wide birds.

Harry's cock is also doin his thing and is very much responsible for the big wide tails.

The big guy and his girls. These are not small girls either. This one up close got Champ English 2 years ago at the 1,700 bird show here at the Central Indiana Poultry Show. And repeated Champ English this spring at Gateway Show.
Big boy showin off his wide load tail

The other 2 girls I got for $70 this winter from Fred. Should make some darn nice Buffs. The Buff hen upfront is who my first 15 hatches are from. I am just now hatching from the other 2.

A few chicks more growing out.

Some of these Blacks should be worth keeping for next season

Nice head. The orange cockerel in this pic is from my Buff Sport on my Black hens. He too has a great tail coming along.
I hope to take him to some of my young Black pullets next season to better my Blacks tails.

Very nice I'm not sure if mine look as nice. They are for laying eggs. I'm not showing them

Yeah my Buffs are good for about 130 to 150 eggs a year. These girls lay every other day. Now my Blacks are a different story. They are outcrossed enough with different lines they lay 4 days outta 5 during season. These Whites should lay as well or close too.

Any of you orpington buffs (haha!) know of anyone in the PA/NJ/DE area that might like a lemon orpington roo?

Does anyone know of anyone in Florida that raises SQ Buffs? I really want to improve my flock, but I can't find anything close.

Consider joining the United Orpington Club and talk to the Prez Don C. He raises Exhibition Buff Orps and he could either point you in the right direction or may even have a spare cock/cockerel to sell and ship to you. IF you could make it to a big show would be great too. Many top Exhibition breeders go to these bigger shows. And a phone call ahead of time you may get to have someone bring you a bird or duo. I did that at the Ohio Nationals three years ago. I bought a duo from Terry Britt. Terry had Danny Padget deliver the birds. So even then you can get what you need with a little work and patience.

Good Luck, hope this helps

Hi there, new here! Thought I'd share a couple pics of my 2 Buffs. Their names are Lucy and Ethel and they are both quite the sweet little characters! They are 10 weeks old now :)

I love these girls, they're my favorites for personality, BY FAR!
