I'm not sure if you were talking about my "buffs" or not, but I did consider breeding them into my real buff cochins to see what I get. They are standard.

Iwannabeamermaid: I did think that my buff could be a brahma. The problem with that is that mine has a single comb, so I'm not sure what it is. The red one has the exact same markings, and I could be wrong, but I don't know of any red brahmas. So, I know they have to be some kind of mutt, I just don't know what kind.

These are all Ideal birds

It would be interesting to see what you get. If only someone had some mottled standard cochins, then put those with your "buffs" and you'll have the makings of mille fleur

Hmmm.... I have a bantam mottled roo and this standard "buff" cochin. I'm getting lots of ideas. It may start as a medium size bird, but could be bred to get bigger. So, can you tell me, after I breed the mottled to the buff columbian, what do I breed next to get to the mille fleur?

why are all the breed i want sold out!!

Looks too big to be a OEGB.

I'm sorry the birds you want are sold out

There's a lot of people wanting chickens, so when you get the chance, you have to be ready to jump on them. I'm sure there are breeders who have the kinds of birds you want, and could get you some chicks or hatching eggs. Plus they'd probably be better quality.
