I wish I had some reptiles. I used to have some geckos and anoles but I got rid of them. I like all your pets guys. Especially the bearded dragons.

Beautiful reptiles everyone .

I currently have a young female Hog Island Boa . I'm a huge reptile lover and have spent the last several years volunteering for a local reptile society doing educational shows and rescue work .

Here's my little girl Lumi . (photo is several months old , she's tripled in size )

I can't believe I didn't see this post earlier!! Let me see if I can dig up the ones I have...

Okay, this is Kitana, a Burmese python. BTW, she IS for sale...going to get too big for me, but I had to "save" her. She's a "rescue", was hungry, dehydrated, and having a very bad shed. Naturally, she had a bad attitude. And her bites HURT! Anyway, here's a before of her:

Growing VERY nicely:

Next is Aiden, my reduced-pattern Ball Python. I drove down to Baton Rouge in October to pick him up, he was hatched in August. I don't have very many pics of him, but he's growing, slowly but surely. Here he is not long after I got him on a standard-sized washcloth. He was having a little difficulty with his shed:

Now we have Lieutenant Dan. He's my rescue Beardie. If you can't tell from his name, he happens to be missing a couple of parts of his anatomy....

I thought I'd throw this one in for fun. This was in front of Mom's house. It's one of at least three that we know of, I'm sure there are more, but this particular one isn't bashful.

EDIT: Hey, why did the pics cut off??? NVM, it fixed itself!

Cornelius had a lot of fun climbing my tree yesterday in the heat (I wasn't enjoying the heat as much as he was!) So I thought I'd snap some pics. The first one is my fave.

Amy,
LOVE the beardie! I have always like them, they have great personalities. Yours is too cute with its missing front legs. He looks very happy! How did it happen? By the way the snakes are very nice too.

Yes, they are. I only had one time that he tried to bite. He was having a shedding problem and we soaked the skin and my mom was using her finger nails to try to pull the skin off and accidently pinched his toe. She didn't like reptiles and didn't want to touch him. I had orginally planned on getting a leopard gecko and when I reached in the tank to pick one up they all started hissing and one snapped at me. So we decided to pay more (at the time the leos were $50 and the fat-tailed $75) for the nicer one. He didn't really do much though except sleep and eat but I loved him and spent years begging for a lizard.

Don't know how it happened!! He was a drop off at PetSmart. Was left on the cricket bin in a shoebox with another Beardie. I took one look in the box, and hollered "I want the handicapped one!!!"

Others have speculated that his siblings may have bitten them off as a baby....

EDIT: I've always wanted a corn snake. Saw a batch not too long ago, and before I could even get "awwww" out of my mouth, DH said NO!!!

Just wanted to throw this in here. Story about the sheer stupidity of people as a rule. We have a festival here called Crawdad Days. Kids and I went yesterday. Everyone had there dogs...big dogs, little dogs and everything in between. A good part of the big dogs were trying to eat everyone that walked by them and the small dogs were wrapping their leashes around everyones legs tripping anyone stupid enough to walk by them. None of the staff said a word to ANY dog owner. Here comes a family with two Ball Pythons. One around the Dad's arm, one around the daughters neck. They told them they would either have to lock their snakes in the car or leave!!! Thankfully they pretty much said "see if you think you are big enough to make us leave" and stayed. I was just totally shocked at the ignorance!!!!
