Here's my baby - He's a Pit/Lab mix. The pit really shows when he's panting.



"School time is over, I want my bed back."



This is his only trick. He carries his bowl around when we have company, hoping they'll take pity on him and feed the "poor, starving puppy."




Unlike our Shepherd/Lab mix (may he rest in peace), my pit/lab doesn't have any issues with cats!



And he makes a nice, warm foot rest!

This is our girl Inca, her favorite tom cat, Tom, and our old dane boy Reno. She's such a sweet girl. Like a lot of pits out there she came out of a bad situation. We drove almost 3 hrs to get her from a "rescue" where we asked more question than they did. Long story short, a lot of red flags but after we met her we both decided we weren't leaving without her.
Our vet says her ears weren't done by a vet (no sucher (sp?) scars) and she has demodex, but....with that stacked against her she's still very trusting, loyal without question, and is one of the goofiest, well mannered girls anyone would want to be around. Unless she's in bowling ball on legs mode, then betty-bar-the- doors, it's on!

Shes beautiful!! She has a huge head!!! Its so sad what some people can do to animals! Its amazing how dogs can bounce back from bad sitiuations!

She's a good girl. I'm a firm believer that not everybody should own these dogs, heck I'll go one step further, there's some people out there that shouldn't be allowed to have a pet rock much less a dog or any size. I've seen too many little dogs that are allowed to do as they please and are monsters! Just because they are little some people think they should get a pass on manners. Not me.

But these guys because of their reps have to have rules. Sometimes strict rules. They are worth it! It's sad to say, but I think the survival of this breed will come down to those of us that are willing to make the decision to have rules for our dogs.

Inca is a very happy pup because she knows we love her and what her place in our home is.
