Really? Yay!Definitely a pullet then
I see some girls in there.I have six 7.5 week old Rhode Island Reds. Two have already sprouted nice combs . A friend told us these 2 were most likely cockerals. But I also have a chick with lots of white around her face and he also thinks she could be a he. Roosters are not allowed in my town and we bought sexed chicks from TSC. Any input appreciated.

It's a girl, but I'm not sure why you're asking, as you are correct with sexing more than I am lolI have a better pic:View attachment 2250333
Uuuuurgh I just psych myself out of EVERYTHING with my own birds. When I had SEXED day-old chicks I was completely convinced they were all male. It's a girl, but I'm not sure why you're asking, as you are correct with sexing more than I am lol
Lol I know how it is. I've been convincing myself I have three out of three boy chicks since I got them. I actually have two boys and a girl.Uuuuurgh I just psych myself out of EVERYTHING with my own birds. When I had SEXED day-old chicks I was completely convinced they were all male.
Right? Pepper had a pink comb at six weeks though. Does that change anything?Lol I know how it is. I've been convincing myself I have three out of three boy chicks since I got them. I actually have two boys and a girl.
You see them all the time so you don't notice them growing.
Well, he’s a Dominique.Nope. It's a girl. Barred Rock girls always seem to have a fair amount of comb growth early on. Plus the pattern.
I really want to try Barred Rock next time I get chicks. Usually I hatch my own though.
Actually this year I bought two breeds I wanted, a Cuckoo Maran and a Light Sussex.... The Maran turned out to be a SLW crossed with a C Maran, and the Sussex turned out to be a Buff Orpington.
I can always do with more Orpingtons though.
