My roo saw it and sent the girls running for cover... even though they are under bird netting... I looked up and THAT is what I saw!

ETA... Juncos and Sparrows have been chowing down at the bird feeder. I've heard the Chickadees but haven't seen many lately.

Here's another little cutie that was sitting on a branch just outside my (home) office window. Don't know what it is and if anyone knows please advise.

This my favorite picture and the hardest to get. I have dozens of these little Gambel's quail at my place but they are so jittery! I finally got this shot when it really was too dark to even be using the camera outside. I swear they were laughing at me and my clumsy efforts to get their pictures!

I have hummingbirds that visit, but they are to fast for me to get.
We had 10 wild turkeys come thru 3 weeks ago. But they are so skitish that I could not get close enough for a picture.
There are hawks and buzzards but they fly to high to get a decent shot.
I have seen what the woodpeckers have been doing to my tree but have not actually seen one working on it.

So my one and only bird picture that doesn't come from the zoo.

I have more spider and insect photos. They don't move as fast!

So do these count? They have wings! lol
