Here's mine. It currently has a flock of 3 hens. Four more chicks will be coming in late June and I think that will be enough for me and the coop/run.

That colorful metal guy out front is the only rooster I'll ever have. ::sigh::

You can't particularly see them in these pix but my compost piles are just beyond the coop so it's an easy dump over the fence when I clean out the coop.

Beautiful coop :love

Thanks! Neither my husband or I was up to it so we had a lovely guy make it for us and I am grateful to Ray, the carpenter, and my husband, the money man, for my chickens and my "farm".

I'm 70 and we will probably only be in our house another couple years so it was really an indulgence. But, happily, my husband is as besotted with our 3 girls as I am!

The next crop of chicks will probably be our last before we sell and move to smaller quarters. So I'm trying to get the most from the experience while I can have it.

The initial coop was a converted roofed dog house and run, then I added a run under the trees and the a pvc roofed area for a covered straw yard , the also range when I a, in the garden, not as inventive or as pretty as some of the beautiful ones in the states and Canada, but it works. I may paint it though:)
In addition is a fast temporary A frame I made but never needed, but will in the future;-)

Here's our little coop. We hired someone to build it but he didn't listen to what we wanted and it was left unfinished after 2 days. It took a couple days for me to saw the rest of the boards with a hand saw. Yes, a HAND saw! :( We don't own tools which is why we hired someone. Anyway, finished the henhouse, the paint, wire and all just shy of a week. The henhouse is 6'x4' and has 3 nesting boxes and a natural branch roosting bar that's 6' long. The entire run is 6'x12'.
It was actually a lot more meaningful putting in our own sweat and hard work. We love our ladies and they love their home.

Here’s another coop I built last summer. Getting my chicks in a few weeks so it’ll be some time before this coop is finally occupied. Coop is designed and built by me. I’ve since painted it but haven’t taken a recent picture.
