*Post pictures of your duck pen/coop!!* :)

6 pekings fit in that house? I have 4 pekings and although they live with their sibling chickens, I think that the brand new coop is going to be very messy with the 4 ducks in with the chickens. I prefer to house them together, but not sure I want to deal with the water issue!
Does your set-up require it to be inside? i avoid some mess by ducks by most smaller coops NOT having food/water, i leave it outside, that way the inside is dry especially for our long cold winters.

chicken pickin, that is one lovely house!

Are the clear panels glass or plexiglass? Might it be good to cover that with some half inch metal hardware cloth in case of aggressive predators? Yeah, I am a worrier.

You, however, are quite the architect!!

The clear panels are glass window panes. I plan to cover one window opening to use as a window in the warmer weather and leave one opening open to use as the door. And thank you I love building things, I have built all of our coops/houses/tractors/shelter/brooders etc(with a little help from my hubby and my dad). This duck house was however an old used double dog house that was kind of falling apart. I got it for free and refaced the front to fixed it up.

I only have 3 at the moment. 1drake 2 ducks. I rehomed 5 recently due to too many drakes.
I bet they are loving their new house. And I do agree with Amiga a predator could and would bust the glass out of those windows I would cover the outside with Hardware cloth, that way you can open the one up in the summer for ventilation and still use the other one for the door but nothing can break through the glass and get your ducks. Ya'll did a great job on repurposing an old dog house.

Thanks!

I will add hardware cloth to the outside of the window also.

Our girls' little house and pen in the garden, although most of the time they're in my flower beds! :)
Still got a couple of things to paint on the house then its finished!
They also have two other pools dotted around the garden. They seem happy.
