Does your set-up require it to be inside? i avoid some mess by ducks by most smaller coops NOT having food/water, i leave it outside, that way the inside is dry especially for our long cold winters.6 pekings fit in that house? I have 4 pekings and although they live with their sibling chickens, I think that the brand new coop is going to be very messy with the 4 ducks in with the chickens. I prefer to house them together, but not sure I want to deal with the water issue!
I love your duck house you have done an awesome job. How many ducks do you have?
chicken pickin, that is one lovely house!
Are the clear panels glass or plexiglass? Might it be good to cover that with some half inch metal hardware cloth in case of aggressive predators? Yeah, I am a worrier.![]()
You, however, are quite the architect!!
I bet they are loving their new house. And I do agree with Amiga a predator could and would bust the glass out of those windows I would cover the outside with Hardware cloth, that way you can open the one up in the summer for ventilation and still use the other one for the door but nothing can break through the glass and get your ducks. Ya'll did a great job on repurposing an old dog house.I only have 3 at the moment. 1drake 2 ducks. I rehomed 5 recently due to too many drakes.
