POST YOUR BREEDING PENS/SETUPS!!!!

I'm almost certain someone once posted pics of their breeding pens that were constructed with modular walls dividing it into 4 sections. The walls were removable so that, when desired, the space could be converted back to one large open area or a medium-sized area with one or two smaller areas.

It seemed a very space and cost efficient design. The exterior of the full space was predator proofed very well and the modular walls were lightweight chicken wire as they only needed to keep the birds separate. They were solid for the bottom 2-3 feet though, to prevent the roosters in adjacent pens from seeing each other. It was quite ingenious, IMO.

Do you have the link to where it was at?

There are lots of threads about breeding pens. Check out some of these: https://www.backyardchickens.com/search/newsearch/search?search=Breeding+pens&start=100

Edit: That link was to page 5 of my search. Page one is better.

Thank you, @Finnie! I just put more hatching eggs in my incubator for the New Years hatch here at BYC!

I'm doing the New Years hatch-a-long, too!! It's my first hatch, just testing my sea legs

I just threw in a few eggs from my SLW pullet, and the only mature cockerels I've got atm are my wheaten Ameraucana and a blue Ameraucana that I doubt she'd let near her, so I'm guessing my wheaten boy, Hugo, is the daddy. Just some test hatch OEs, but they should be cute!!! I'm really excited!!

That's why the breeding pens will come in handy. You will know which one is the daddy. I want to keep another rooster here, but don't want to keep the roosters together. The breeding pens would come in handy.
