post your chicken coop pictures here!

Pictures of my new 2nd coop build.

Custom built German style pine cabin with automated pop door open/close system, temperature controlled water de-ice and radiant heat system, 3 nest accessible eggbox, weatherproof roofing with gutter and rain water collection system, 4 way cross ventilation, hinged and latched plexiglass and insulated windows, interior chicken proof lighting with timer, seasonal curtains and appropriate artwork. $
Happy chickens, priceless!

Everyone learns from their first coop. I learned the 8x12 wasn't large enough! Now we have a 10x16 by that and I have to stay with just the two for the next 4 years and control my fowl addiction until my apprenticeship is over.

I have a 9x16 which leaves about 9x11 for the chickens with a sloping 12' ceiling for exercise. My goal is 10 birds which allows extra eggs to give to care givers and family and lots of fun for the kids. Last 2 will be austrolorp, jersey or leghorn, not sure yet. Just trying to get some color and shape to make it more interesting :)
