The Brite Tap combo pkg isn't cheap but we had to decide what chicken expense was the most beneficial to invest in. After dealing with open bowl waterers with wild bird and chicken poops in them and having to change them out 2 and 3x a day we can finally not worry about dirty water or if the hens knocked over a bowl or if the wild birds are mooching or pooping in the water. We like the portability of the jugs and easy to carry to a cleaning station and they can be hung up by the handle in a coop if desired.
I use a 5 gallon bucket with horizontal poultry watering nipples on the sides and it works out great! They leak and freeze less than vertical and you can out the bucket anywhere since the nipples aren't hanging on the bottom like the vertical. It's also a lot cheaper than the Brite Tap system.
Plus I know many schools now teach algebra and other really complicated things really early now.
I home school and will be teaching my daughter multiplication and division next year for 1st grade, she has already nailed addition and subtraction, quite well in kindergarten...
There is so much to learn nowadays you have to start early...

Can you show me a picture? I'm new at all of this so I'm still learning!

I picked up a food grade bucket for a few bucks at Lowe's and a lid. Gotta be sure to drill a hole in the lid or in the side up top for pressure to release and the valves to work properly.
It's really simple though.
There are threads if you search nipple waterer or horizontal nipple waterer
I'll get a picture
