We replaced the shingles when we cleaned up the coop. This one had the same roll of green stuff on it. We cut a piece of new plywood and put actual house shingles on it. I dont want it leaking as it was in sad shape.
I scoured the coop since chickens has lived in it before. Then sprayed it with a vodka mixture. Then put 2 coats of paint on it and replaced the roof. Mostly I didnt want it to have something from the old owner that my birds could catch, plus I wanted it to look pretty. It has a Cow Tipping Zone sign on it now too. LOL
