post your chicken coop pictures here!

Had a little free time today so I made some progress on the new coop.

This is our coop which is under construction. And that's me up in the rafters.
The footprint is 8 x 12 with a 4 x 8 entry area for storage and quarantine if needed. The four nest boxes will be on the outside of the coop to the left, where the blue bucket is in this picture. The roosts will be at the end closest to you in this photo with a roll out poop board underneath. The run, which is to the right of the coop in this picture will be 25 x 25 and covered with welded wire to predator proof it. There is also a garden and compost area that runs in an upside down "L" along the outer edges of the run which the chickens will have access to for foraging and to help turn my compost pile. It is broken up into three sections and I will rotate the garden into a different section each year after the chickens have readied it for me. I plan to post lots more pictures when we're done which will hopefully be in two weeks for my birthday!
I like your well thought out ideas.

Here is my coop!

It is obnoxiously painted from the colors I had left over from a dog agility equipment project. :) It reminds me of a circus tent, lmao! It was originally a pot bellied pig shed, then it was a make shift coop, then it turned into a goat shed, and now I transformed it back into a coop. The slanted white wooden pieces are keeping the walk in door locked, and no outside nesting box access (yet). It is surrounded by giant stock panels that must weigh about 100lbs each. They are secured by t-posts, and then welded wire fencing locks in their outer run. The whole thing is enclosed with deer netting to keep aerial predators out.

It may not be pretty but it has TONS of room, it's warm, and keeps my babies safe. :)

Edit: I wanted to note, this was built completely out of recycled materials I had around the ranch. The only thing I paid money for were bucket feeder materials and the support beams for the deer netting. Everything else was DIY. Proud of myself! I am not handy at all, lol!

I love the paint job. I don't trust my own taste enough to do something wild like that. Good job!

Done with my coop and run. Made the coop look like my barn which it sits beside!

White and Green paint I had left over came in handy.

Three of my girls. They are on FF now though!
I like the green alongside that simple but beautiful door you made. Is it just stained pine or something more fancy?

Why are their strings running across the length of the floor?

I'm thinking 2 more Orpingtons. Then a Silkie again, the wife loves them (me too). She was devastatedited when the possum took her Marshmallow. I'm seriously thinking a Roo too. The Roo I lost was a really good bird, he was my favorite. I'd really like to try adding a couple more after that but doing it nature's way.
