post your chicken coop pictures here!

Thanks guys. I was kinda worried about the same thing and there is plenty of room for adjustment. I have more bars than in need so some can be removed and I can also decrease the angle...they are hinged so I can just lift the bottom and clean.

Thanks for all the kind words. I hope the chicks like it as much as I have enjoyed building it.

Now if the weather will just warm up.

I put up another wall this morning. Here is my garden area and my new chicken coop area. I love it. Of course I still need to paint, make a few tweaks and put on roofing. The roofing will have to wait till I can save up some cash. ~~ I did all this work by myself with a circular saw, level, tape measure, drill with a drill bit and screw bit for tools.

I think it's GREAT!

i left a two inch gap that I put metal screening for air circulation. Does anyone think I need to put a hinged piece of wood to keep the heat in or should this be okay. I have the windows, but liked the idea of air movement at the highest point

On my new coop and hutch I left the top gap for ventilation. There's a lot more gap on my current coop, and the chickens stayed nice and warm during our winters. Even last winter when it was so cold our water pipes froze. Nice job!

You want lots of circulation all year around, 'keeping heat in' is a fallacy...especially in winter when frostbite might be a risk and you want that humid air outta there!

Thanks very much. My husband was wondering if the door would be big enough for the chickens, and our Son definitely proved that it was.
