I love it. especially the flooring and colorful ladder. You have done a wonderful job! How many chickens do you have? Looks like you have room for lots of feather babies!

Can't say I think that is a normal thing for most of us backyard chicken owners. How often do the tests come back with 'problems' and which 'problems' are they?

My vet does the lab tests for me if I ask. On one visit he suggested it to backup his diagnosis. It's to test for worms. So far all results have been negative for worms. I've never tested for anything else. Never even had any blood drawn. But then I've only had my backyard hens for 3 years. With only 4 hens it's easier for us to keep up health maintenance then for others who have a huge flock. I suppose we pamper our girls a lot but my DH is more insistent about vet visits than me and he's been spot-on right every time.

This is a DREAM COOP! Congrats!

This is too cute!

Take an umbrella with you when you collect the eggs. We put up a canopy over our coop once we stood in the rain to collect the eggs LOL. Amazingly the canopy helps to shade the coop in the summer as well. We buried the canopy frame legs about 8 inches into the ground so it doesn't para-sail away in a breeze.

OK, thanks. I was afraid people were testing for nasties like salmonella and coming up positive or something!

Thank you! I've worked really hard. I have eight six week old bantams that will be moving in soon. I went big in case chicken math hits!
