post your chicken coop pictures here!

Well I can say the coop is pretty much finished. I just have to do some touch up painting on the trim. I am now working on the run. I have already moved my 6 one month old chicks into the coop. I think they like their new home!

Here is my coop. We built it last month. Since we moved the girls needed a new coop. It is separated into two parts. Each side is 6 feet by 6 feet by 6 feet in height.

Here is the front view of the coops. The shelf that is in both was designed to have nesting boxes set on top of them. My Ladies nest under the shelf. Go figure LOL.

This is what they look like with the tarps on the front to offer more protection from bad weather and cold. The way the roof slants with regular rain nothing gets wet in the coops. However if we get wild windy thunderstorms the tarps come in handy.

This is a good view of the chicken yard with the duck pool while standing next to the coops. The fence there used to be my chicken tractor. It was a dog kennel before that so I just unhooked one side and stretched it out to give them a safe place to roam.

This Thread is going to get me in trouble.I have been remodeling my chicken coop for bout 3 years and I plan on starting back when then weather breaks.I started with a play house, adding a little church to the side and then added a glassed in walkway between the 2 .This is the dining area also.I am making good progress, but the design changes as I scrounge the materials.

The problem is all of the great ideas that are on here that I can use and the Wife not appreciating the work that I put into it.She says that I do too much for my chickens.I don't see it,but I'm hoping to work on it and get it finished this summer. Then I start remodeling.Ha Ha

ahahah , I totally understand you...I am the same way, think about how to improve my tiny coop all the time...I have to change the setup today actually, because the chickens sleep in their high nest boxes (no space to put roosts higher than that...) and it gets full of poop...mine have not started laying yet either, and I can't wait!! I love my little coop, but I have to confess sometimes I'm already thinking about how to build the next one, but I can't tell that to my husband, he would think I'm seriously crazy, since I spent most the summer, fall and now winter building this one!!

ahhhhh chickens, they are so great!
Oh, No! I've had coop and run building on the brain something horrible for a couple of weeks now - nights included. My co-workers are starting to look at me funny because I keep sketching coops and runs and nest boxes during meetings.....I was REALLY hoping all that would go away once I get these things built. But today - even before I read your post - I realized I was already fantasizing about the NEXT coop and run I'd build after this one is done.
