Totally unprovoked. I was collecting eggs and WAM!!! Attack of the killer rooster... :hit
My husband pointed to the axe and said make him into stew if he hits me again.

Hi MandalaMaMa and Perchie,

The floor is probably THE most important to treat/seal/cover/etc because that's where the waterers will spill and the chickens will poop onto the floor bedding, etc. Perchie's suggestion about linoleum is a good idea and if the linoleum goes up the sides of the floor wall (like the old 1950's kitchen linoleum floors used to be constructed) there won't be any crevices or cracks along the floor/wall seam for mold/mildew to accumulate. Hey, we've all been there, done that, and just passing along remedies to mistakes we've made ourselves along the way. Smiles -

I'm jealous! Your coop - besides being very nice - is probably about half my yard's size - haha! Beautiful.

This is why I only have hens. No boys allowed. Sorry to here about your luck. Mean rooster -- he better watch out.

Oh girls can be witches too!

Another 10hours today on the teal coop. The first six were the first coat of the interior. Took FOREVER!

Two more coats after that.

Prepped the side rails for the poop board, which I will work on tomorrow. Need to get a board from hardware store Tuesday after my dentist apt.

Did have homemade chicken soup and dumplings for dinner!

What is wrong with that "man" of yours?

As soon as I saw you being attacked, that roo would have been headless within 5 minutes! He would have already been making soup! No stick, no coddling, no picking up and hanging upside down (except to let the last bit of blood drain out), no tennis racket, NO EXCUSES! Haven't you had enough of

<---this yet?

Boot trays work very well as poop boards. Perfect size and cleanable.
