Amazing coops

Here is an update on my Chicken Palace.

Got some used metal from a friend for the roof.


After getting the roofing done I started on the baton strips and window trim. All the rough lumber was obtained from a local lumber yard.


Time for some stain and what a difference it made. I hade 11 gallons left from the last time we refinished the house and man did it fit.


Got an old nesting box from my sister. It needed some work but for free and a couple cans of spray paint I think it's a beauty. You can also see part of the roosting bars, I used some saplings from around the coop for a natural feel.


All I have left is to cover their run and put a couple steps in.

I really love the design of this coop!

here is my first coop. we have 10 rir in there now,9 hens and 1 rooster. we free range them few hours every evening. it started as a 4x6 then I added on 4x8 I will soon put a roof on the addition.

here is our new coop 8x8. first time I built a external nest box. we will have bo chickens in this coop.

Yeah, it's lovely. Wouldn't fit my country backyard, but it looks great in hers. Where are you from? I'm down in La outside of Shreveport. Getting my first babies tomorrow so I'm excited. Keep posting. Lots of good folks here

Was our original honey bee workshop, I gave up all but the further 8' of the shop which I kept for our bee equipment. Only the Cochins are in this one; they love the lights and AC, every time we work in the bee side they come in and see what we're up to.
