post your chicken coop pictures here!

That is a very good but and free shipping if picked up at a store. I thought I had found the best deal. I do my hardware cloth cutting by hand with nippers. It's the least favorite part of a build.

If you buy $50 or more it's shipped free. I do an order each month of things that total up to over $50. I'm cheap that way.

This is the only 3' that I could find with a good price. Most are 2'.

My husband has "NEVER" saisthe would help me do "anything"... when it was in reference to my chickens because he didn't want them in his backyard!! That's why I'm so dumbstruck!! Sacred to really believe!!

ok here is our setup, my dh is 81 and after this he said he needs to slow down that it is getting to much, sure so this morning he is talking about moving the screen house to back of house so we can see back yard and stay away from bugs, the screen house is next to the house. so tomorrow he will start thinking about that move, but don't forget he is going to slow down. he did make a path in the snow last year, but that is one thing I don't like him doing.
Nice setup.

Update, we decided to take the chickens off the ground due to allergies to something, which meds not working, but benedryl is so far

Are the allergies skin or respiratory? Chickens are highly susceptible to respiratory problems. My Leghorns would sneeze for an hour after taking a vigorous dust bath. Heatwaves seems to increase the respiratory susceptibilities to dust, powders, even baking soda in their nesting boxes. What we've done is to eliminate any powdery lice/mite powders, dry vitamins in feed, etc. For lice/mite preventative measures we use organic Poultry Protector liquid spray on both the chickens and the coop per label instructions and use Poly-Vi-Sol no iron liquid children's vitamin drop once a week per hen for vitamin supplementation. Electrolytes are put in their drinking water and feed is fed fermented so there's no dusty feed. Is your hay/straw non-organic as even light floating flecks of pesticides in the dusty straw can cause respiratory issues. Heatwaves like our SoCal area should not exacerbate chickens' respiratory sensitivity with too much dusty products around them. I wet/sprinkle their backyard mid-day so the grasses and weeds don't throw a lot of dust particles - I even sprinkle down their dust bath place and they seem to enjoy sitting and dusting in the cooler moist dirt rather than the dusty places. Just some ideas - hope your girls get better!

it is respitory and as for the hay, I dont know, but antibiotics wouldnt work, but the benedryl seems to be. I do spray them and their coop with oxine atleast once a day, sept today.

My DH likes regular pets like budgies, dogs, or cats so was a bit surprised I wanted chickens instead. He has completely taken over getting up at 5-6 a.m. to feed and let the girls out every morning, feed them hand treats durng the day, and lock them up at night. He takes care of the coop chores as well. Chickens are an animal that most men see as giving something in return (eggs) for the investment put into them and they are just as pet-friendly as any dog or cat. He's the one who insists on vet visits if a hen looks ailing. Chickens grow on you and provide many other benefits besides just giving us eggs!

How do they ingest the Benadryl? Do you serve it crushed in their feed, liquid in their water, or direct liquid drop dose in their mouth - how much how often? Just want to know for future reference just in case. The Benadryl seems safer in their eggs for human consumption rather than antibiotics.
