I love your setup. I really like the covered outdoor spaces.

I have enormous screened openings on 3 of the 4 sides. The side wedge openings are 6 feet wide, 2 feet at the tallest, tapering down to nothing at the short wall. The large opening on the side of the coop that faces the house is 6 ft x 2 ft. Honestly, I just cannot see needing anymore ventilation!



You can see both side openings here - the one facing the camera, and the one on the far side. If you look closely, you can see the big opening on the right side of the coop, which is rectangular. The pop up door is dinky indeed (and it hadn't been cut into the larger door in this picture), but if my math is correct, I've got a total of 12 sq feet of screened openings, on a coop with a 6x6 foot footprint!

I have 6 hens ... 2 australorps, 2 buff orpingtons and 2 new hampshire reds
