Yes, it's 10' x 12'- should winter 30 chickens. Going to move it closer to the house so we can get some hydro to it

Mine is only 4x8 and houses 8 so far and I just hatched 4 and there is still two eggs I the incubator and I am going to build a breeding pen for silkies

That's 120 sqft for 30 so my 108 sqft should be fine for 20? Ive only got 5 right now giving them 21.6 sqft and they already fight, can't imagine what they will do with 20 in that space :-( Still going to add 8'. That will give me 180 sqft for 20 birds or 9 sqft per bird. the rule is minimum 4 sqft. Yup, I think that will be enough room I still want to add a run of some kind so they can get some fresh air. I got to get me one of those T shirts (thought I was retired...)

The general 'rule' for the average Leghorn-sized hen needs about 4 sq ft of coop space and 10 sq ft of run space, for a total of 14 sq ft per bird.

Larger, dual-purpose breeds need even more room.
