post your chicken coop pictures here!

Ive come to the conclusion that old men shouldnt have chickens. I busted my tail all day and got one circuit in the run for the brood pens, finished the trim on the bottom of one coop wall, finished the first row of wire on the ceiling, installed the second row, put up one nailer, watered the chickens, carried my grandson out to say hi to the chickens (he was still in his pjs), threw a bunch of stuff in the auto pressure cooker for supper and took 600mg ibuprofen and crashed on the bed to watch cartoons with the kids. Every fiber in my body is screaming.......

I almost feel like I should come over and help you out sometime. Its just that I got my own new coop to build here soon as well. My advice to you is to ice it and then go get a massage. I would suggest you try Kara at Adrian Orthropedic Massage. http://adrianomcenter.com/ I go and see her pretty regularly.

I normally can do some work but the chicks are getting very crowded and need to have more room so i'm marathoning the run. Just not used to working so hard lately. I think we spoke once about your living in Clinton, i graduated highschool there in 64. My Dad lived on Matthews Hwy for 57 years and is now in a home in Tecumseh. I'm taking my wife to see Dr Levitsky in the am. She used to get massages in Tecumseh but hasnt lately. I've never had a complete massage, only when having therapy after a surgery. I should come out and see your layout sometime.

What i have left is 2 rows of wire on the front and side as soon as the rain stops, then the deer wire and the chicks are going to their new home :) Piece a cake :)

I've changed my design plan several times now but i think the chick tunnels will go in front as i have the pens set up now, through the screen. I may put a cover on the screen to keep the wind out. As soon as i get another dry day i will have them out in the run. Pics will be posted as soon as they are in. They are really crowded, i didn't think it would take so long to finish the run and forgot how quickly they grow, WOW!!!

hi,i one let them free range when I'm in,weekend and after work. They are quite vocal if anything comes to near. Cats seem indifferent but are shooed away if there is a few. Also there is a fence most the way round.

My birds love free-ranging so much that when we have to herd them into the coop even for a few minutes they squawk bloody murder! They eventually settle down but if they see us they'll complain, and loudly, the whole time. Embarrassing when you have close neighbors

I find meal worms are the food from the gods for my girls, just shaking the bag will have them come running to me from where ever there hiding.
