Anyone have an A Frame coop? I'm going to try and tackle making my own coop myself and an Aframe seems reasonable to tackle on my own, but I'm having a hard time envisioning the dimensions of actual usable space on the inside (and where to put the roosts).
*this will be for a small flock

Here are a few pics of my A-frame, I have detachable wheels for it also.

This is the first coop I have built, overall I have been very happy with it.

This is AWESOME!! Do you have the dimensions/instructions somewhere.
Also how many can you keep in one this size?

Just a dumb question: has anyone seen a legitimate dimension for the treads on a chicken ramp? I made mine 6 1/2" because it worked out to miss some structure and it looked about right. Just curious if there is a recommended distance

Im going to drop the ramp tomorrow after my Wife's doctor appointment, about noon. If you hear any commotion its probably my chickens fighting.....or me clapping because they didnt

I think the only concern is that it be made such that the roosts are higher than the nests and they have enough headroom. If the roost goes from one angled wall to the other, the first 6" on each side are unusable. Possibly more depending on how steep the A frame is.

THE VERY SECOND REASON I DON'T HATCH IS THAT I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO SPACE FOR CHICK BROODERS - THE LAST CHICK WE HAD WAS INDOORS AND IT DROVE US CRAZY. THE VERY THIRDLY REASON I DON'T HATCH IS THAT CHICKS ARE TOO ADDICTIVE -

WE FINALLY NARROWED OUR BREEDS TO DOCILE NON-COMBATIVE PET TYPES WITH EGGS AS A SIDE BONUS RATHER THAN EGGS AS THE MAIN FOCUS. EGGS AS A MAIN FOCUS GAVE US TOO MANY HEAVY, DUAL PURPOSE, ASSERTIVE TYPE BREEDS. THE PET TYPE DOCILE BREEDS GIVE US A LOT MORE PEACE IN THE BACKYARD. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUR PERSONAL WANTS/REQUIREMENTS/GOALS ARE.

lol I agree on all that that's why we don't hatch we just get 6 chicks(NO ROOS) from rural king every 2 years
