post your chicken coop pictures here!

Well, i mis-calculated on the water. I have 18 chickens and 4 turkeys almost full grown and i am putting 2 gal into the nipple water system per day and i can't see any obvious leaks. It has been in the low 80's for 3 or 4 days now. Difference between cool and warm weather is about 1 gallon. I am a little surprised. Chickens apparently don't retain much as someone mentioned.

What does anyone think of this design?

I like the design but with all the work put into making it look nice, they shouldn't have used OSB board. No matter what sealer is used moisture will crumble the OSB internally and that will undermine the floor. We see new homes being built around our area using OSB walls and I cringe every time I see them. One good shaking earthquake and the walls will come tumbling down.

We do have a tractor supply about 50 miles away. The thing is having a run here, without having a top on it is asking for trouble. We have hawks, eagles, owls and who knows what else patrolling the skies.

Ya we have all sorts of stuff plus we have 6 types of weasels lurking here in Pa. But I have three peices of tin on it next to the coop and then I have about a hundred dollars in chicken wire on the rest of the run. Before I had the wire on the other half they would hop up on there roost in the run and fly out so I had to worry about them every time I go somewhere so I finally went and got some wire and put it on.

We haven't had an earth quake here in over 20 years nor a hurricane or tornado we don't have weather like that here. Though a few years ago we had an after shock but I am not using the osb I am putting something in the corners to help steardy it up some. We have my sisters horse barn made of those pallet things I am getting to build the chicken coop they just put sinder blocks in the ground laid these boards on the blocks and started building the barn setting on those boards and put a post in the middle so it holds the weight of the snow. And it holds up to 60 mile an hour winds we have gotten here before so I don't think it would go anywhere. And it will be on the other side of the yard so the house helps block some of the wind. Now there in the backyard where the winds hits the most and they huddle up in one corner of the run to get out of the wind and they have a 4x8 coop now and it is heavy enough to stand the winds but the wind has shifted it. But it blew our camper clean off the blocks it sets on. So I can't weight to get this new house done so I can start getting some eggs here again because they are so crowed in there house I haven't got an egg from the 20 chickens in over a week. So i needs a new house for them soon because I have neighbors who need eggs I just sold my last dozen I have 11 eggs in he fridge and I have one family that's a family of 11 and they buy 3 dozen of eggs at a time from me. And the last time I bought they bought two dozen chicken and one dozen turkey. So I am hoping they don't need any eggs soon.

And the floors I will use rubber roofing for the floor under there sand so the floor doesn't rot. The coop I have now I have about 6 layers of paint on the floor so it shouldn't rot.
