I thought broody meant it was a moody chicken that picked on other birds. So i guess i meant i would use it as time out for a bully chickens. Ive had chickens about 3months and the coop only 1month

I presume you mean Ameraucana. Americana is one of the names the hatcheries use for their EEs.

What kind of chickeneer are you? You're giving the rest of us a bad name!  :lau   Don't you know you're supposed to get the chicks first, THEN start building the coop?!?! Then get side tracked so that they are full grown before you actually get the coop finished?  You NEED to have chickens running around inside your house, the significant other threatening divorce proceedings, and all your friends thinking you've finally gone over the edge! That's the best fun of chicken ownership dontchaknow. ;)

Nothing more true. My coop is habitable but the run isn't finished and i have 18 chickens that are 8 weeks old!!!!

YES, Ameraucanas. I was typing furiously because I wanted to finish quick and run out and feed everyone before the storm rolled in.They have Blue, Black and Splash and a pure Black line. May have a White line too. Their EE's are bred for the blueness of their egg and good laying ability.

Ya I was going to have 3 and then ended up with 21 and 4-5 of them need to find a new home because of them being roosters from tractor supply if I would have know they were all going to be roosters but one I would have left them at tractor supply

So far Im lucky in that regard. The first 6 I bought straight run Ameraucanas and there is 1 roo, then 4 more straight run EEs and I think only 1 is a roo. Then I got 8 pullets from Rural king and all seem to be pullets. Yay

Ya lucky it's probably my luck if I wanted something to go the way I want or need it to go then it always seems to go the other way. But anyways so I posted those roosters up forsale my neighbors don't mind hearing them crow even though those 4 that I am selling haven't started crowing but I do have an older rooster.
