post your chicken coop pictures here!

Thank you! Well, there are 2 vents already & 2 windows...do I need more? & the nesting boxes do have lips, the man doors will also, & the chicken's door. We just mounted the boxes, one on either side, with plenty of room left over for more boxes. Hubby owns an industrial wood packaging company, so I get free pine shavings, all I want. It really came in handy with the horses! They used a TON more than chickens. He's going to build a storage loft too. I'm looking for some kind of plastic inserts for the nesting boxes for easier cleanup. Litter boxes, disposable foil cookwear...any ideas? Gotta be 14" x 15" to fit. Can't wait to do their outside area, lotsa entertaining things for them to do. Swings, etc. is there a special kind of sand for their sand box?
As far as plastic inserts for nest boxes I use these.

I got them from Fleming Outdoors. If memory serves me they are 12 x 14

Look at dish pans or bus pans, they should be close to that size depending on brand... I use covered litter boxes for my nesting boxes and I really like the fact I can remove them and power wash them every so often...

Also I can't give any real experience input on this 'liner solution' but I will admit I have concerns the chickens might attempt to eat it, but awhile back I picked up some of this fake turf at Menards https://www.menards.com/main/floori...431469892-c-6542.htm?tid=-7241110991075699483 my idea is/was to cut it to fit the bottom of the nesting box as something that could be removed and hosed off, but even though I purchased the stuff months ago I have yet to actually install it and see if the chickens use it or eat it... This stuff is all plastic so it will wash easily, but again not sure if the birds will attempt to eat it or not, and have not done my test run as of yet...

Haha! I'm willing to share...anyway, I think it'll work. Picture half a pizza box inside these nesting boxes, they fit perfectly, are inexpensive, replaceable & EASY!! I can simply put the bedding in it, hope the 2.5" lips will be enough. If not, my bad, I'll deal with it. Still easier than horse messes. I
