post your chicken coop pictures here!

Baur in Montana - Nice coop but what a beautiful view! It must lighten your soul every morning you wake up and look out there. I suppose then you start thinking about the coons, bobcats, possums and such that are looking at your chickens. Your coop looks up to the task of keeping the chickens safe. Thanks for posting it.

We moved this past Fall to a new house on 9 acres.  The only problem was that the land, except for the acre that our house sits on, is all wooded.  So instead of fighting the trees, we decided to use them to help us build our coop.
We made a log cabin, which is roughly 8 X 8, and houses our 6 Golden Comets and our Barred Rock Roo.

I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!

I posted pics of the coop I'm building, on a member page. Since this is my first time doing anything related to chickens, I would appreciate any thoughts on how I'm doing.

Thanks.

these are AWESOME coops and I am finally gonna start construction on mine! The only reason I got my dad to agree to help in his spare time is because I told him that I will have the eggs for my chickens in the next 2 - 3 months so that got him motivated! another reason he wants to have this over and done with is because he doesnt want chickens on his porch in the morning when he goes to work so they have to have a home to stay in. We are going to use an old truck topper thing (the thing that sits on the bed of a truck), 8 seven foot tall wood poles, wire fencing, some small wood beams for a roost and door frame, 3 wooden nest boxes and some support beams to hold up the wire on the top of the run. I am basing the construction on my aunt and uncles coop (they are the ones giving me the eggs) wish me luck!
