post your chicken coop pictures here!

Here's mine made from an old cotton trailer. I'm thinking about selling it and downsizing my coop. Can't make up my mind!

Know i'm three weeks late on this one, but I grew up in cotton country and never thought of using a cotton trailer for anything but cotton. Thats absolutely brilliant.

Some of these builds crack me up. I mean drywall painted walls with trim\molding Inside. COME ON!

So exciting. The coops page doesn't show so much what the insides look like. Thats what Im interested in.

I am just changing over to a new coop here it is I will add inside photos as I get it finalized with setup.

Im adding the round dryer vents with hardware cloth and the rain guard so they get more light and ventilation. I am trying to decided where to put them. Across from the pop door for a straight shot of circulation or from behind the roost up high to vent out humidity at night? Or from the front so that they get the very first morning light onto them at the perch.

Leaning toward two behind the roost and a plexiglass insert on the front or side to let in morning light.

Here are a few pics of the coop that we started in the spring. Size is 10'x24' We are hopeful that we will be able to complete it this spring, but for now it is a work in progress. Plans are to run underground power and water to it once the weather is nicer. It has two rooms. The entry room is a feed storage area and will eventually have a sink and will have our temporary brooder in it this spring. Walls and ceiling are insulated and the flooring is the plastic wood deck boards.

You can barely see our automated chicken door on the left. This opens into a 25'x50' run. On hind sight, we should have used 5 foot instead of 4 foot fencing though.

The automatic chicken door on the timer works great.

This is the south side of the coop. Upper windows provide great natural light and ventilation

This is the coop side. We used an insulated garage door to make it easy to clean out the coop.

This is a fantastic chicken house . I need to show this to my husband who thinks he can build anything !!
