post your chicken coop pictures here!

I started building my coop this week. Hoping to have it finished up soon. More important I need to get some chicks so I have a flock to fill the roost!

I have just spent most of the morning looking and drooling over all 21 pages, 202 posts... I love love love these coops....They are nothing like what we have...including no chicken poop or mess...hahahahaha

mine is nothing fancy by any means.... We used the back of the barn where there used to be a 'calf pen'..... we added old metal we found laying around the farm for the bottom and bird netting on the top half. Inside the pen we have and old doll house for nest boxes, as well as an old shelving unit for nest boxes (the shelving unit used to hold auto parts, then outside we made a huge run for the birds 1/4 is on cement, the other 3/4 is grass, dirt, etc... used an old screen door for the 'human door'. it also is used for the birds to 'go out and free range'.... They access the outside pen from where the **** chain spreader used to be. they have lots of roosts, things to climb on, and or fly to if they wish... Inside the pen is where most of their food and water access is... as it stays dry... In the outside pen they have water dishes and a few feed dishes, as well as grass... plus getting to free range...
I am on a different computer than I used to have and haven't put any photos on this computer yet, but when I get them on here, I will try and upload a few...

It doesn't matter what your coop looks like just as long as it does the job.As time goes you an adjust as you go,but the chickens don't care.Keep them fed, water, dry place to get in,protected from predators and out of a draft.they aren't hard to please.

here's our coop, this time we went with a cheap, quick and easy set, 7x7 storage sheed was $450 at homedepot with a lowes 10% off coupon, the run we found on craigs list, for $200 with top, total set up time was less than a day.

Nothing wrong with pre-fab! What does the inside look like and how did you attach things? Is the 'metal siding' very strong?
