post your chicken coop pictures here!

Our coop is done!!! It is an open air coop. The chickens love it!! We added a run on the side after I took this picture. The front is hardware cloth, There is a door on the left that now opens into the run.

Hey everyone!
I'm planning on having around 24 birds this spring. About half Dominique, half mottled Java. Does anyone have any suggestions to how big I should make my coop? We have started building already(we have put posts in the ground for a 5x10), but after seeing everyone elses coops, I'm thinking I need to expand while I still can. They will have free range part of the time and a run of about 20x40 other times. I live in Alabama, so the climate is pretty temperate and they won't be spending a whole lot of time in the coop.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

I do like the lean too style of coop.Mine is a partial lean too.I would be proud of either one of these coops.I would like to make a suggestion if it isn't already done.Where the roof is open at the sofit areas I would recommend screen or hardware cloth for two reasons. One reason is to keep unwanted bugs and bees out.If bees build a few nests it could be trouble. The second reason is so that birds can't get in and build nests.Birds can bring in different diseases and also make unwanted messes.Other than that I think you have done excellent jobs.

We do have hardware cloth on the inside of the sofit openings, and each one has a cover on the inside, front and back, so we can control how much ventilation they get. When the temps drop below freezing, we only leave two on the front and two on the back open, and close the rest of them. We have found that the sloped roof and open ends allow for better cross ventilation, and odor removal than an A-frame style. Hope to get the outside painted this spring, but we won't be doing anything fancy to the inside like some of the ones I have seen.
