Thank you!!! The doors are only hanging from the top, with something similar to a closet door track. It's free on the bottom, aside from wood to guide it. This is because of the issue with shavings and dirt falling into the track causing it to become clogged and immobile. We put a board up to block shavings from falling in that crack for the front doors and the door to the run (the board is on the inside of the coop) but I still have to scrape debris out of there every 3 or 4 weeks so it will close completely.

Its possible... I used it cause it was left over from a job I am on. Plus i am at the beach and most of my yard is sand... tough to grow grass in

same here we do not live on the beach but our yard is really sandy

my coop in progress the rose bush is getting moved and there will be an 12x8 run of the door by the rose bush just ran power tonight for a ligt and an outlet for brooder lights hopefuly next week it will get a nice coat of fresh red paint with white trim for it and the milk house

Here is what we accomplished this week. got it roofed, shingled, vented, and painted though we still need to add the trim around the entire coop and nesting boxes. The run will hopefully be started this weekend. *fingers crossed*
