POST your chickens and describe them!

This is my blueface, Talon. He is still young but he’s one of the nicest birds I own. He absolutely loves his girls and follows everyone around the yard.

This is my boy Blue Haze, I got him after my previous Roo was killed in a dog attack. My hen Dijon definitely bullied him when he first arrived but grew to enjoy his company. I got him about a year and a half ago.

Recently, the rabbit population has boomed in our area and so the baby rabbits have taken the liberty of inviting themselves in and helping themselves to the chicken food. Lol..

Blue has not taken kindly to the rabbits stealing food and I actually have a video of him chasing it out of the pin.😂

He is a very good boy, he knows that I am boss and respects me. After losing Dijon I was able to integrate Honey in with him, and he was a sweet boy (as sweet as a roo can be 😂) They have since raised 4 chicks and he has been a gentleman. He is one of my favorite roosters; fussy at times, especially when I have had to catch him to dust/spray for mites (I would probably fuss about that too). I wouldn't change a thing about him. Always nice to get lucky with a good roo. :) Not to mention one that is so pretty!

This is Dumpling. She is an Easter egger and she was one of our ground layers for a good bit of time. She has the smallest beard of all the rest of the EEs and is “okay” friendly.

This is Vanilla. She is our only leghorn as of now (we are looking to add a few brown leghorns as well). She is really friendly, but also skittish. Lays a big white egg every day. And we just hatched her first egg a while ago. The chick looks a lot like her so far, and I am excited to see the chick all grown up.

Although we have other hens, we are so blessed by this hen! This is Daisy and we purchased her from a farm where she was wild, roosters favorite, and pretty sick. Once we got her health back, she decided to be a mom! Couldn't break her broodiness no matter how hard we tried! So we traded our 2 rotten tempered SLW for 3 potentially fertilized eggs. Three weeks of anticipation and 3 little cutie pies emerged!

The black one is P.J. and is EE / Black copper Maran

The predominately white one is precious and is 100% EE with green legs to prove it!

The white/striped one is chipmunk. She is Speckled Sussex / EE blend and sports a beard, feathered feet and green legs!

So that is part of our feathered world and blessings indeed!!
