I would but mine are still in there eggsI don’t actually have any quail myself (enough birds already) but after randomly spending time on this forum, I gotta say I’ve kinda fallen in love with the little guys
I think you started something i love it. Looking at everyones quails is the perfect way to start my dayI don’t actually have any quail myself (enough birds already) but after randomly spending time on this forum, I gotta say I’ve kinda fallen in love with the little guys
such cute names! My coturnix quail never go broodyWhat a nice thread! I love the adorable quail pictures people are sharing. Here are my bobwhites! We have thirteen and for most of them it's their first time laying and they're going pretty broody.
Twink - he loves to lay down and preen himself and walks around with the silliest waddle sometimes.

Butterscotch (brown face) and Clement (black/brown and white face, reddish feathers) - Butterscotch loves to nest and Clement received his name because he is gentle with things at times.

Red in a nest - when he was a juvenile he would lay in our hands. You might be able to guess why he was named Red.

Marshmallow - very fluffy and large for a female. She is a little spoiled at times. If you show her a meal worm, don't blink - it'll be gone. I took this photo while she was panting, so her beak is open (it's a little bit of a hot day here, but nothing too bad).

Clement again - he looks really happy in this photo.

Twink (black and white face in the front), Clement (black and white face behind Twink) and I think behind him to the right might be Marshmallow. I'm not sure about the other girl, she might be an unnamed one. We haven't named them all because we can't tell everyone apart, but we're slowly working on it.

This is our very broody girl, perhaps a mama-to-be. She has a lot of eggs and sits on them a lot.

Speckles - when she was a chick, we would hold her and she would pop her head in and out of our hands. It was silly and sweet, and reminds my daughter of a jack-in-the-box. She is building a nice nest now.

Speckles (left) and Dusk (right) - Dusk was cooing a lot while I was out taking pictures of them. It seemed to be something to do with going broody, I think.

Dusk again - he was in this nesting box (yeah, the wooden structure) a lot.
