I have 18 Peahens and so far only 3 have laid, it's still early.

We got an egg from the Violettas this evening, although it was the yearling hen who was standing funny yesterday and today. If it is her egg, it will be the first time I've seen a 1 year old lay.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. So far out of 5 of my hens only 2 have laid an egg. My 3 year old Spalding and my 2 year old White peahen. I'm waiting for the 4 year old White, 5 year old Indian Blue, and 2 year old Black Shoulder.

Where are you at? This will help you the most. It's best not to ship eggs since your hatch rate goes down when shipping them. Have you checked your local Craigslist as well.
