Post Your First Egg Pics-Part 2

We have a bunch of pullets just coming into lay, and someone laid this tiny thing. I think and hope it's from one of the bielefelders. None of the other girls we have is likely to lay speckled eggs.
For scale it's next to an egg from a Red sexlink.

This is my first year breeding for Olive Eggers with my own flock (BCM over Wheaton Ameraucanas and a couple eggs from EEs). I'm doing the sleuthing behind who lays what (about 12 pullets in total!). Here are the first three!

We also got our first back-crossed Olive Egger (OExBCM) from Vanessa at May Blooms Acreage and it's beautiful!

Looking forward to figuring out more layers this weekend!

Those are gorgeous!

We just had another girl lay her first egg. Except I dont know which one. The egg was warm but 2 of the same color chicken came out. We danced and sang (Me and the flock not me and the hubby.)
I saw it and thought is was white. Then i get into the house and it looks blue. Not the best pics I guess but the same egg.
I got my girls from tractor supply and the 2 in the coop were labeled as easter egger but any chicken i find that looks like them or a Welsummer or leghorn and tsc didnt have those on any bin as a label. Here are the 2 brown ones. The left is Bobby Sue and the Right is Billy Jo

Wow thats a whopper!

My EE‘s first egg laid on 1/28 and my welsummers first eggs laid just days ago - the smaller brown eggs in the carton .. we have a rooster… and we are gonna hatch these babies. Some of the eggs were broken - (earlier welsummers and the first 2 eggs from the EE i opened so that i could check fertility - and we’ve got 97% fertility!!!!) im so proud of my handsome roo and hope to make some beauties. He’s a Lavender Orpington - and so chicks should be blackish - maybe some marbling going on… but amazed by Mother Nature and all of her bounty. Oh.. EE and Welsummers are terrible mother hens so im incubating! Ha. They all leave the nest immediately after laying so they can get back to dust bathing and snacks. Silly girls.
