aww that's adorable! you DO that!

Ok, here's a fine howdoyoudo!

Back in September I got 4 beautiful Faverolles chicks. I gave one, a salmon to friends of mine. I figured the birds (at 22 weeks) were due to lay next month. But nope, winter or not, one bird has popped out beautiful eggs! Which one? Well, of course, the one I gave away!

Amy's eggs - Amy is the hen - her eggs are the little eggs of color in the rear. Aren't they adorable?

My '3 French Hens' seem to have no interest in anything beyond eating my fressias and diggin up my lily bulbs. Oh well!

I got five ready to lay Australorps three weeks ago yesterday. This morning I found this egg and a hen sitting in the nest. Fifteen minutes later I had my second egg. I have a whole new respect for my plucky pea brained friends.

I have raised worms for a year and a half and I am thinking of freaking out my chickens with a little taste treat. How many worms is too many? They are organically fed vegetarian worms.
