Post your FIRST EGG pics!

Yesterday, August 20, 2011 I got my very first egg. I just got two seasoned hens someone gave me because I wasn't doing well on the egg front, but I think this egg came from one of my three white laced Cornish. The shell seems a little frail so I think it might be because it's the first one. Unfortunately, whoever laid it did it right in front of the coop door and someone stepped on it so it is cracked on one side. My White Laced Cornish were born February 24 so I have been VERY anxiously awaiting this day. I'm so excited.

Hi all,
I collected my very first egg ever this morning!!! I thought they would never come. It was laying in the dirt under the coop. I forgot to put fake eggs in the boxes. Do chickens usually figure it out on their own?
Anyway, here is my pic.

My other EE Iris laid her first egg today! Golly it's so small...

We finally had our first egg today! I have been waiting rather impatiently for the last four weeks.

I think it was Echo, the Black Australorpe, but it also could have been Tango, the Dominique. Oscar will lay blue or green eggs, and Whiskey, the Speckled Sussex, isn't looking all that ready.

Finally!! It's about time ladies!! Now for the funny part... I only have 2 chickens. But there are 7 eggs here. Somehow, I have no idea how, I missed them. But whatever-I have eggs!!

Look what the boys found today when they were outside!

It was perfect! No cracks, no blemishes, nice hard shell and IN THE NEST BOX! Clever girl! I think it was either Bawk or Squawk, my BO/BCM (I think) mixes. They were both acting ridiculous this morning and carrying on every time I went out. Here's a picture of the smart little chickens:
