Post your FIRST EGG pics!

oh, wait! the eggs were in different egg boxes. Does that matter? I have three egg boxes and it was the middle box for the first egg, then the far left box the next day and then the middle box again the day after that. Doesn't the same chicken always lay in the same spot?

My chickens lay in the same box every time! Three girls like the one on the left, one likes the one on the right and no one has laid in the middle box.

Didn't check coop inside yesterday, went out this evening and had 8 eggs! I am so excited! Its our first eggs! They were 17 weeks yesterday!

Tonight one of our Reds laid our 1st egg!! So proud of her!!

Oh my...that blue egg is amazing. I'm hoping for one any day from one of my EE's. I hope I am that lucky

Found this when I got home from work yesterday afternoon.



I'm going to guess they're from our 2 sex links. We have three more (2 Wyandottes and an EE). Think I missed a few, as they've been free ranging from dawn to dusk when I have days off. I heard some commotion, but couldn't find anything chasing them, nor any sign of harm...but I couldn't find the eggs, either. They were cooped up all day yesterday, since I was back at work. I'm thrilled.

Our proud rir mama went into the hen house this morning made a little nest...we warched her...the plopped out two eggs!!! Is that normal? Lol

Our first egg, my kids discovered it yesterday (8/2/12) it was priceless you would have thought it was Christmas around here!!
